Field Trips

We are excited to welcome school groups to the Alamo!

Advance reservations are required for all field trips at least two weeks in advance of the date of your field trip. Reservations are booked on a first come, first served basis, and field trip options are subject to availability.

To book a field trip:

2. Request a field trip through our online form.
3. Connect with the School Group Scheduler to confirm your field trip.
4. Receive your booking information.

Please note all prices below reflect discounted price for school groups and must be booked in advance.

Alamo Discovery Tour

Led by an Alamo Educator, students explore the more than 300-year history of the Alamo on a guided walkabout and experience a living history demonstration.

Price: $5 per student. Educators are free; $10 for chaperones.
Group Size: Varies, subject to availability. Up to 150 people daily maximum.
Duration: 45 – 60 minutes
Available: Monday – Friday

Alamo Discovery Tour + Alamo Exhibit
Price: $12 per student, $8 per educator, $18 per chaperone
Group Size: Varies, subject to availability. Up to 150 people daily maximum.
Duration: 90 minutes or more
Available: Monday – Friday

Free Timed Entry to Alamo Church and Grounds

School groups reserve a free ticket to enter the Alamo Church and explore the grounds at their own pace, led by teachers and chaperones. We recommend this option for groups over 150 people. Subject to availability.

Victory or Death™ Audio Tour

A hand-held device and map guide visitors to 37 stops throughout the Alamo grounds and historic buildings.

The Alamo Exhibit

Now open, the 24,000 square foot facility, the Ralston Family Collections Center offers school groups the opportunity to explore the Alamo’s collection of artifacts. This is a teacher and chaperone led experience which can be combined with any of the above field trip options.
