Mexican troops arrive in San Antonio

February 23 was the first day of the thirteen day siege leading up to the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. On this day, the Mexican Army arrived and the Texians and Tejanos realized that they are outnumbered and ill-prepared.

Join us in person for this free opening ceremony to the Commemoration of the Battle of the Alamo at 10:00 a.m. We will also have living history demonstrations of the Mexican Army interpretation all day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
