Join us as the Alamo celebrates the legacy of women who shaped history! This family-friendly event centered in the Living History Encampment in the Alamo Gardens will captivate all ages as we reveal the inspiring stories of women who changed history.
Visitors will hear about Indigenous women who called this area home when Spain built Mission San Antonio de Valero, known today as the Alamo. They'll also learn about the role women played when the Long Barrack became the first hospital in Texas, and how women like Susanna Dickinson survived the 1836 Battle of the Alamo and were sent to spread the news across Texas.
