We invite all Friends of the Alamo members to see the original screen-used stunt bike from the classic 1985 film Pee-wee’s Big Adventure up close during a special members only sneak peek in the Ralston Family Collections Center before this exhibit opens to the public. This temporary exhibit will offer the first glimpse of this pop culture icon before it becomes a permanent part of the museum.
This exciting addition comes as fans celebrate the film’s 40th anniversary this summer. The bicycle, made famous by Pee-wee Herman’s unforgettable quest and his equally unforgettable visit to the Alamo, will serve as a centerpiece in the Long Term Legacy Gallery presented by the Mays Family inside the future Alamo Visitor Center and Museum, opening in Fall 2027.
And while there’s never been a basement under the historic Alamo Church (despite what Pee-wee was told), the Alamo is thrilled to bring an iconic piece of pop-culture for all enjoy.
Tickets are FREE, but limited, and only available for Friends of the Alamo members. Not a member? Join today!
