Living historians demonstrating how to fire a musket

Celebrate Independence Day weekend at the Alamo with live music, a variety of demonstrations, and activities through out on both Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4.

Demonstrations include weapons, medicine, artillery, drill, and firing demonstrations. Interactive activities will include period games, kids’ drill, learning to make candy cartridges, learning to make yarn or corn husk dolls, and more!

Visitors will be able to sign a giant Declaration of Independence.

All events on the Alamo grounds will follow state and local COVID guidelines. Capacity limits for events are determined by state and local ordinances and will be enforced. Masks and social distancing are strongly encouraged when at the Alamo.
