The Alamo is excited to announce a NEW edition of Teach the Alamo: STEAM, on Saturday, April 25, 2026. This free educator workshop will take place from 9 am to 2 pm at the Texas Cavaliers Education Center, opening Spring 2026 on the Alamo grounds.

Educators accepted into the workshop will learn to facilitate four TEKS-aligned lab activities ideal for STEM Nights and end-of-year classroom lessons. The activities align with 4th- through 8th-grade TEKS, however, they are designed to be easily scaled for any grade level. The labs focus on the following areas:

  • Quilting and Math (art, patterns, symmetry, and shapes)
  • Limestone Preservation (properties of matter, rock cycle, and chemical reactions)
  • Engineering Fortifications (angles, symmetry, and shapes)
  • Mission Era Agriculture (plant science)

Participants will walk away with Alamo swag and goodie bags. Refreshments and parking provided.

Space is limited, and teachers must be accepted to attend.

  • Applications are due March 2, 2026.
  • Participants are notified of acceptance by March 9, 2026.
  • Save the date Saturday, April 25, 2026, until notified of acceptance.
