Archaeologists continued investigations for the Church Preservation Project in EUs 45, 62, 119, and 129.
Archaeologists began a new unit- EU-45- in the group south of the Gift Shop. This unit was started late in the week and was excavated to a depth of approximately 30 cm below surface. The top level was similar to adjacent units and exhibited signs of previous impacts.
Archaeologists also began excavations at EU-62 against the north transept Church wall. Archaeologists excavated to a depth of approximately 50 cm below surface. There were two utility pipes in these upper levels, indicating more modern activity. This unit had artifacts such as glass bottle fragments and metal fragments.
