Tiffany Lindley, PhD, RPA, has served as the Alamo Archaeologist since 2021. Prior to joining the Alamo team, Tiffany conducted archaeological research throughout Texas (including a multi-year project at the Alamo) as well as abroad in Belize. Tiffany brings over a decade of diverse archaeological experience to the Alamo. Her research interests include daily practice, material culture, and the relationship between agency and broader sociopolitical change. With a background in education, Tiffany strives to make archaeology accessible to all by promoting public outreach and engagement. She is dedicated to protecting and celebrating the cultural resources at the Alamo.

Experience

Alamo Archaeologist (2021-present): Tiffany manages all facets of archaeological projects at the Alamo to include, but not limited to: permit proposals, project management, fieldwork, artifact analysis, report writing, and curation.  

Archaeologist (2019-2021): Conducted excavations, survey, monitoring, and lab analysis (Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III). Projects include, but not limited to: The Alamo Data Recovery Project, Historic City Hall Renovation Project, and San Pedro Creek Culture Park.

Lab Director (2019 and 2013): Mopan Valley Preclassic Project, Cayo, Belize.

Operation Director/Field Supervisor (2013-2018): Mopan Valley Preclassic Project, Cayo Belize.

Adjunct Instructor of Record (2016-2018): Northwest Vista College and University of Texas at San Antonio

Field Archaeologist (2011-2012): Caracol Archaeological Project, Caracol, Belize.
