Plaza Entrance on Crockett Street to be Blocked For Security Bollard Installation on 12/19–12/20

Alamo Plaza entrance blocked with security bollards

Construction to install security bollards throughout Alamo Plaza to increase visitor safety began earlier this year. On Thursday, December 19 and Friday, December 20, Alamo Plaza access will be blocked by fencing where Crockett Street meets Alamo Plaza.

Just to the south of the Alamo Church, this area will be fenced off while security bollards are installed. This process will take only two days, pending any unforeseen changes. Alamo Plaza will still be accessible from all other directions and vehicular traffic will not be impacted at all.

As always, the Alamo will operate its normal business hours, and both the Alamo grounds and Alamo Plaza will remain free and open to the public.
