Entrance to education center with wildflowers in the gardens

Situated in the historic gardens, the former Alamo Hall and Annex will be adapted and expanded into the Texas Cavaliers Alamo Education Center. Scheduled to open Fall 2025, this facility will provide a world-class learning environment that makes the Alamo experience accessible to all. The Alamo history is the cultural hearth from which the story of Texas emanates, and we are excited to have a space dedicated to teaching and learning.

Designed to exceed the expectations of traditional historical sites, the center will include an outdoor learning pavilion that can serve as a place for students to eat, learn, and collaborate, an orientation theater/lecture hall, a vibrant agricultural garden, and multi-functional classrooms. The STEAM Lab and the Early Learner Hub will engage students of all ages with interactive approaches to history, combining archaeology, physics, art, and more. Furthermore, the Distance Learning Lab will expand the Alamo's reach, allowing students worldwide to participate in virtual lessons and field trips.
