Several excavation units have been opened inside the Alamo Church, with the final units inside the Long Barrack nearly complete.
A section of Crockett Street, which runs in front of the Menger Hotel, will be closed starting March 5 for Alamo Plan phase one construction. Additionally, the sidewalk on the north side of the Long Barrack, will close.
The 1 foot by 1 foot excavation unit beneath the Alamo Church doors will not effect visitor traffic, as all work in this unit will be done after-hours.
As always, the Alamo remains open to the public during normal visiting hours, and Alamo Plaza remains open to foot traffic.
