Living historian demonstrating weapons at the Alamo

Interested in learning more about the weapons wielded by Crockett, Esparza, and the other brave Alamo Defenders? Join one of our living historians on an hour-long virtual tour around Alamo Plaza as they unpack the mechanics, use, and importance of rifles, muskets, and cannons during the 1836 Battle of the Alamo. Tour-goers will learn about everything from the steps of loading a flintlock firearm to the location and size of the Alamo’s numerous cannons to how the fortress walls themselves could be considered a weapon. This program does conclude inside the Alamo Church. This special guided tour is offered to the first 30 visitors who register online.
