Harrison, Andrew Jackson
Rank: Garrison Member
Andrew Jackson Harrison, Alamo defender, was born in Tennessee in 1809. On October 26, 1860, Commissioner of Claims W. S. Hotchkiss rejected a land bounty claim of Harrison's heirs, claiming that there was "no law for giving donation for dying in service." They later received 320 acres of land for Harrison's "service until 6 March 1836 and having fallen at the Alamo."
