Congressman Will Hurd with Alamo living historians

Congressman Will Hurd was officially elected to be a board member of Alamo Trust Incorporated (ATI). Congressman Hurd was provided an overview of the ongoing preservation efforts currently occurring at the Alamo.

Congressman Will Hurd was joined by Alamo Archaeologist Kristi Nichols as they discussed the fragile state of the Alamo church and Long Barrack buildings and the need for continued care and preservation.

184 years ago, the Alamo defenders fought and died on these very grounds for the republics freedom. It is because of their brave actions that the great state of Texas is what it is today. As a native San Antonian and experienced Congressman, Will Hurd will provide leadership and guidance throughout the implementation of the Alamo Plan, an endeavor that seeks to restore reverence and dignity to these hallowed grounds.

Congressman Will Hurd's statement can be found here. Video footage of Congressman Will Hurd on the Alamo Battlefield can be found here.
