The Alamo is thrilled to announce on the momentous occasion of the 132nd Anniversary of the Battle of Flowers Parade that Valero has made a remarkable gift of $5 million to the Remember the Alamo Foundation. This generous contribution will play a pivotal role in supporting the foundation's crucial mission of preserving and educating future generations about the Alamo's rich 300-year history.

Valero's extraordinary generosity, during one of the oldest and largest parades in the country honoring the Defenders of the Alamo, Goliad, and the Battle of San Jacinto, will be recognized by renaming the Battle of the Alamo Gallery as the Valero Battle of the Alamo Gallery. This gallery will become a cornerstone of the Alamo's future Visitor Center and Museum, scheduled to open in 2026, and will focus on the historic 1836 conflict.

The Valero Battle of the Alamo Gallery will provide visitors with a thorough and enlightening account of the siege, battle, and aftermath of the event that occurred during the Texas Revolution. The gallery's goal is to honor and commemorate the exceptional bravery and courage of the Texians, Tejanos, and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in this pivotal battle while offering a deeper understanding of the historical context and significance of this critical moment in Texas history.

Executive Director of Alamo Trust Inc., Dr. Kate Rogers, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Valero for their exceptional and generous charitable contribution, stating "Valero's contribution is deeply appreciated. This donation, made possible by the steadfast support and leadership of Valero will play a significant role in helping us sustain our efforts in safeguarding the historical and cultural essence of the Alamo. We extend our sincere thanks to Valero and its outstanding leadership team for their unwavering dedication towards protecting and preserving our history for future generations."

The Remember the Alamo Foundation is committed to ensuring that the rich and diverse history of the Alamo is remembered for years to come. This organization provides exclusive support for the Alamo and its preservation, educational outreach, and public programs. The Foundation supports the preservation of historic structures and artifacts, providing educational programs for visitors of all ages, and ongoing archaeological research. The Alamo is truly grateful for Valero's contribution and looks forward to continuing its mission of protecting and interpreting the Alamo's legacy for the benefit of all.
