The Alamo is excited to announce the launch of the site's first-ever 3-D virtual tour of the historic Alamo Church. School is back in session and we're thrilled that you can now visit the Alamo from any classroom, location, or on any device with an internet connection.

Virtually step into the Alamo Church to discover more about the historic site and immerse yourself in Texas history. The virtual tour on the Alamo's official website consists of over one hundred crystal clear 4K resolution scans of the interior and exterior of the iconic Alamo Church. It will allow digital visitors from around the globe to view and learn more about the Shrine of Texas Liberty. Additionally, it will establish 360-degree virtual access to locations such as the church's confessional and baptismal, which aren't open to the public.

"The Alamo's first-ever 3D virtual tour helps to bring the site into the twenty-first century and reinforces our commitment to ensure that the revered grounds are as accessible as possible, " said Kate Rogers, Executive Director for the Alamo Trust, Inc. "The Alamo is visited by over 140,000 school children annually primarily through field trips from around the Lone Star State. The virtual tour will create a new global educational resource and historical connection for students and visitors who may be unable to visit San Antonio."
