The Alamo invites Friends of the Alamo members to an exclusive, after-hours event in the Living History Encampment for a fireside chat on the Texas Revolution. This special evening will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring an in-depth discussion about the pivotal events that shaped Texas history.
Guests will enjoy wine, beer, and light appetizers as a token of appreciation for their support as Friends of the Alamo members. This free, members-only event provides a unique opportunity to explore the Texas Revolution’s journey from the Battle of Bexar to the Runaway Scrape, guided by two of the foremost experts on Alamo history.
Ernesto Rodriguez, a historian celebrating 25 years of service to the Alamo, will share his deep knowledge and reflections on the Texas Revolution. Dr. Bruce Winders, former Alamo Director of History and Curator, will provide additional insight into this critical period of Texas history.
The discussion will be moderated by Emily Baucum, the Alamo’s Associate Director of Public Relations, host of "Stories Bigger Than Texas: The Alamo Podcast," and an EMMY® and Associated Press award-winning storyteller.
Tickets are free but limited and exclusively available to Friends of the Alamo members. Reservations are required to secure a spot at this special evening of history and discussion.
