Come to the Alamo on Saturday, April 16, to celebrate the birthday of the iconic Alamo Defender, Toribio Losoya!
 
Toribio Losoya was a Tejano hero born at the Alamo and destined to fight for a free Texas. Learn about the famous San Antonio native, who made his last stand at the Battle of the Alamo in 1836, with an exciting history program that includes interactive educational stations, hands-on demonstrations by the Casa Navarro State Historic staff, a wreath-laying ceremony with Losoya’s descendants, a musical performance by Los Inocentes, and more.

This celebration is a free event that is appropriate for all ages. Please join the Alamo Trust, Hispanic Heritage Matters, Casa Navarro State Historic Site, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and the Bexar County Heritage Center to help honor Toribio Losoya’s life and contribution to the Texas Revolution this Saturday!
