Have your next event at The Alamo - available for both daytime and evening events with indoor/outdoor spaces to accommodate a range of gatherings including weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate and social events as well as military ceremonies.

The Alamo is committed to connecting, supporting, and honoring our military. Whether you are celebrating a retirement, promotion, or change of command, the Alamo is rich in history and honored to celebrate your milestones. 

We have meeting and event spaces for groups of 10 up to 525 people. We work with a select list of caterers and their expertise with our venue will help you create an experience bigger than Texas! Contact us to schedule your next event at the Alamo.

With a number of different locations to choose from, you can find the perfect setting for your event. After hours, the Alamo is closed to the public to provide an exclusive experience for your guests.

Ralston Family Collections Center Lobby

The first floor lobby of the Ralston Family Collections Center is available for after hours private events. Rental of this venue also includes the adjoining garden courtyard for an indoor/outdoor experience.
Capacity: 100 guests seated, 200 guests reception

Alvarez Family Terrace

The Alvarez Family Terrace at the Ralston Family Collections Center is a second-story rooftop terrace overlooking the Alamo Gardens. This one-of-a-kind outdoor venue is available for daytime and evening private events.
Capacity: 100 guests seated, 130 guests reception

Cavalry Courtyard

Cavalry Courtyard

Shaded by Texas pecan trees, Cavalry Courtyard is a distinctive outdoor venue for small receptions and military ceremonies. The courtyard features an elevated stone platform backed by the iconic six flags of Texas, and is surrounded by majestic bronze statues dedicated to the heroes of the Texas Revolution.  
Capacity: 100 guests seated, 120 guests standing
*Please note Cavalry Courtyard is only available for evening events as this venue is open to the public during normal operating hours.

Convento Courtyard

Convento Courtyard is located to the right of Alamo Church and is a lovely venue for small receptions, or can be added on to Cavalry Courtyard for additional space. Your guests are welcomed by the majestic 100+ year old live oak tree and the stone walls of the historic Long Barrack, the oldest building in Texas!
Capacity: 80 seated, 100 standing

Alamo Gardens

Alamo Gardens

The Alamo Gardens feature sprawling lawns and tall Texas pecan trees, perfect for “Texas-sized” receptions, living history demonstrations, and military ceremonies. This space is available as an addition to the Ralston Family Collections Center only, and is not available alone.

Living History Experience

Step into the world of 1830s Texas. From historical clothing to the smell of gunpowder to early 1800s medicine, our living historians will take you back in time to the famous Battle of the Alamo to provide a unique, historical experience for your event.

Firing Demonstration

Experience the spark of the flint, the flash of the fire and the smell of the sulfuric gun powder. Our living historians detail the 12 steps to fire a musket and then perform an actual musket firing demonstration.

After Hours Tour

FAQs

Can I have my event inside the Church? 
Alamo Church is open to the public, but it is not available for indoor private events. Military ceremonies are allowed to take place outside in front of the Church in Alamo Plaza. We do have other venues available so you can find the perfect setting for your next event.

Can I have my wedding at the Alamo?
Yes, we welcome wedding ceremonies and receptions at any of our private event venues. Wedding cermonies are not allowed inside Alamo Church or outside in Alamo Plaza. 

Is smoking allowed on the grounds? 
No, smoking is not allowed on our grounds. Smoking is allowed on Alamo Plaza, off of our grounds. 

Can I bring in my own food? 
You cannot bring in your own food, but we do have a select list of approved caterers that are happy to assist you with your catering needs. 

Is alcohol allowed to be served during my event? 
Yes, all of our approved caterers have a TABC license to assist you with your bar needs and serve alcohol at your event. 

Can I have a band at my event? 
Yes, you are welcome to have live music at your event. If the band is playing outside, they will need to stop playing by 10:00 p.m. (Sunday through Thursday) or 11:00 p.m. (Friday and Saturday) per the city ordinance.  

Do we provide our own security? 
No, security is provided by our Alamo Rangers. There is an additional cost for security that is noted in your event agreement. 

Can we have live animals for entertainment? 
With the exception of trained ADA service animals, live animals are not allowed on our grounds.
