Misty Lanham is the Collections Manager at the Alamo. She is a native Texan who has worked at the Alamo for close to a decade. While attending Stephen F. Austin State University for her Masters, Misty was taught to take advantage of every opportunity she was given to work in a museum. Misty is proud to say she did just that - working in a variety of departments to learn how all of the pieces come together to help run the Alamo. Before working at the Alamo, Misty worked for the Department of Defense at an Armed Forces Recreation Center in Germany where she helped military members and their families make lifelong memories.
Collections Manager, Alamo Trust (2022-2023): Misty’s first project as Collections Manager was working on the setup of the new Ralston Family Collection Center. Misty saw this as an opportunity to reach both potential visitors and as well as people who may never have an opportunity to visit and help them feel involved from afar.
Education Program Assistant, Alamo Trust (2016-2017): As the Education Program Assistant, Misty enjoyed helping students learn about the Alamo.
