Alamo Trust, Inc. (ATI) is a private, nonprofit Texas corporation which manages the day-to-day operations and staff at the Alamo. Together, Alamo Trust, Inc., the Texas General Land Office, Alamo Endowment, and Remember the Alamo Foundation, share the story of the Alamo’s 300-year history with millions of visitors and students each year, and preserve the Alamo’s historic structures and battlefield for future generations. ATI employs and manages the staff that administer the daily operating functions and visitor experience at the Alamo. ATI staff includes departments that focus on Curation, Conservation, Education & History, Facilities, Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Security, Visitor Services, and Retail Contractors.
Current Available Positions:
The Alamo offers internships each semester year-round to university students!
Internships available for the Fall 2019 and all 2020 semesters include:
Education – Alamo Education Interns learn to craft presentations based upon accurate Alamo history
Conservation Data - Work with the Alamo Conservator collecting weekly data from interior data loggers and creating graphs. Assisting conservator on an as needed basis. The assistance might include, applying conservation treatments, collecting samples and conservation cleaning.
Conservation Translation – Transcription and translation of early 18ths century Spanish missionary journals. The journals are intricate script handwriting.
Information Technology - Gain experience in hands-on IT support of day-to-day operations. (e.g., correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry).
Marketing - Gain experience with special event planning and managing.
Curation - Learn about collections management, and curation through hands-on experience. The intern will assist the collections team with data collection, data entry, and curatorial related activities.
