The Palisade Exhibit, a new experience that brings one of the key locations of the 1836 Battle of the Alamo to life, will be unveiled on December 17. An unveiling ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m. with guest speakers Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush and Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick.
A fence-like fortification used after the Alamo's walls had been breached during the battle, it is believed that David Crockett fought at the Palisade. This exhibit will feature a recreation of the Palisade with a cannon replica approximately where it was located in 1836.
After the ceremony, join us for the Alamo Lights Holiday Fair from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Stroll through the lighted garden and enjoy holiday music, shopping, crafts, special treats and activities - plus some surprise guests.
