Bollard installation will limit access to Alamo Plaza from the Crockett & Blum Street intersection from 1/13 through 1/17. Starting no earlier than 1/17, bollard installation near Alamo Street, facing the front of the Alamo Church, will begin. Bollard installation in this specific area will be finished before the Alamo begins Commemoration in February.
Several excavation units have been opened inside the Alamo Church, with the final units inside the Long Barrack nearly complete.
The 1 foot by 1 foot excavation unit beneath the Alamo Church doors will not effect visitor traffic, as all work in this unit will be done after-hours.
As always, the Alamo remains open to the public during normal visiting hours, and Alamo Plaza remains open to foot traffic.
