In 2018, San Antonio will celebrate its 300th anniversary, and as part of that celebration, the Alamo is excited to announce the Alamo Tricentennial Lecture Series!
Each month, the Alamo will bring you experts who will explore the events, people, and themes that shaped the history of the Alamo, San Antonio, and Texas.
Join us for an exploration of the story of Adina De Zavala on April 24. Starting with her family's contribution to Mexican and Texan Independence and following her biography through the end of the 19th and dawn of the 20th century. We will explore what inspired Adina De Zavala to take up the mantel of defending the Alamo and ultimately the entirety of Texas history. Learn what it took to maintain the grounds of the former Mission San Antonio de Valero and how Adina came to insist that we would all Remember the Alamo.
This event is $15 and includes a Jason's Deli lunch box.
