Ever wondered what Texas pioneers wore and how they made their clothes?
Join us Saturday, May 7th, for a special First Saturday at the Alamo.
"Homespun: Fibers & Fabrics of the 19th century" explores all stages of the production of textiles on the Texas frontier from the harvesting of raw organic materials to finished products. Living History volunteers will demonstrate spinning, weaving, dyeing, knitting, quilting and other skills that were part of life on the Texas frontier.
