We give history talks to visitors on the hour and the half hour except during lunch time (12pm – 1:00pm). Due to the number of visitors that visit the Alamo each year we are unable to give walking tours. If you have a large group or a school group please phone the Shrine desk at (210) 225-1391. Whoever answers the phone can reserve a time that is best for your group. When you phone the Shrine desk, have the following information ready:
A “walk-through” is a self-guided tour which does not include listening to a history talk. The general public is welcome to listen to all history talks. There is no charge to visit the Alamo. Donations are always appreciated since we do not receive any tax money to operate the Alamo and depend on money from donations and proceeds from the gift shop to preserve the complex, maintain exhibits, and conduct educational programs.Teacher In-Service 8:00 - 8:45 Private Tour of the Alamo Dates of up coming in-service will be posted on the pop up page of this web site.
