The Alamo Young Courier Program


The Alamo Young Courier Program is an educational activity booklet geared towards children 5 to 10 years old. Inside the booklet are 20 pages of fun and educational activities. You will find everything from a crossword puzzle to a math worksheet in which you must calculate how many shots a soldier can shoot with his musket. The booklet is available for sale in our Gift Museum for $6.50. This price includes the Alamo Young Courier Badge pictured below. A sample page is also displayed.

There were at least 18 women and children that survived the Battle of the Alamo. Most of them were found in the church after the battle. The women were given a blanket and two pesos. They were then allowed to leave. They are responsible for spreading the word that the Alamo had fallen. After this news spread, men began to rally to the cause and the Texian Army grew.
